Series BMC model 8140

The BMC series of machining centers features a fixed column and crosshead, but with a sliding table. Various angle head variations with manual changeover are also available upon request. They are used in all areas of machining, including mold making, aluminum parts for the aerospace industry, and more.

• The minimum distance between the spindle center and the Z-axis guideway surface is only 150 mm. The spindle center is located in the center of the column, which reduces thermal expansion caused by increased spindle temperature; this increases the machine's structural robustness when increased precision and stability are required.
• Several spindle drive options are available, with varying speeds up to 10,000 rpm for direct drive and 4,000 rpm for gear drive, and varying power levels. All offer high precision, high speed, quiet operation, and automatic coolant systems. Optionally available are interchangeable spindle angle milling heads, allowing you to expand your product range. The head changer is protected from dirt and chips. The interchangeable heads are also uniquely positioned, eliminating any unnecessary workspace.
