  • Machine description

FourStar (YONG JU PRECISION TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD), located in Taichung, Taiwan, was founded by specialists engaged in mechanical engineering research and development. Its primary specialization is CNC gantry machining centers.

Features of FourStar machining centers:

To ensure vibration resistance and improve machining accuracy, the gantry is made of hardened cast iron. The box-in-box structure is used.

The headstock boasts excellent performance. An optimized cylindrical module on the Z-axis ensures rigid movement. The headstock, reinforced internally with ribs, ensures stable feed rates.

Z-axis balancing system. A dual balancing circuit ensures fully consistent Z-axis movements, even during rigid carving. This design, with its central symmetrical spindle assembly, spindle, drive, ball screw, and balancing circuit, offers the best spatial arrangement. Its unique feature is its ability to maintain stability during thermal expansion.

The spindle drive is located above the movable spindle assembly. The spindle center is located close to the crosshead, enhancing power and stability during heavy-duty machining. Even during deep machining, heat is effectively dissipated and vibration is isolated.

Tool change system. Spindle operation is coordinated with a floating hydraulic system for the tool changers. When the tool is released, the main spindle bearing is unaffected by external force, as it is hydraulically balanced, ensuring spindle accuracy and a long service life.

Feed system. The X and Y axes utilize HGH series linear guides, while the Z axis utilizes RGH series linear guides. These guides withstand heavy loads and maintain positioning accuracy, feature low friction, and offer responsive control, contributing to increased dynamic precision.

Motion System. Movement along all three axes is provided by precision ball screw systems equipped with a collision protection device. To reduce thermal deformation of the screw, it can be additionally tightened at the end point. All machines utilize an absolute coordinate system to match optical scales, achieving the necessary precision requirements.

Powerful Spindle Drive. The #50 taper and ø100 spindle bearing, with P4 precision accuracy, achieve a spindle speed of 6000 rpm to meet the needs of various applications and provide sufficient power and torque.

Excellent workspace. The spindle drive and gearbox are elevated, allowing for increased machining depth. Setting the milling head to 90° will not reduce the Y-axis travel, as the crosshead length will increase accordingly.
